At Woods Edge Therapy, we specialize in helping active adults overcome pain, restore mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy most. From golfers and pickleball players to runners and active adults, our experienced therapists focus on identifying and treating the underlying cause of discomfort, not just temporarily relieving symptoms. Every session is personalized to your body, your goals, and how you move, helping you recover faster, move more freely, and stay active for the long term.

Sports massage is not just for competitive athletes. It can be useful for anyone whose activities place repetitive demands on the body, whether that means eighteen holes of golf, three pickleball matches, a long run, a heavy week at the gym, or simply trying to stay active without everything complaining afterward.
You do not need to be an athlete.
You just need a body you expect to keep up with you.

Shoulder pain with golf or overhead activity
Golfer's and tennis elbow symptoms
Hip tightness and restricted rotation
Low back discomfort with activity
Calf and Achilles tightness
Foot and plantar fascia discomfort
Neck and shoulder restriction
Muscle strains and overuse complaints
Post workout soreness and recovery
Reduced range of motion
Recurring tightness that stretching does not seem to fix
Pain does not always identify its own source. That is why we treat the person in front of us, not a checklist attached to a body part.

More pressure is not automatically better treatment.
Sports massage looks at the demands you place on your body and the tissues and movement patterns that may be limiting you. Sometimes the painful area needs direct treatment. Sometimes it is simply where a problem somewhere else finally decided to complain.
Your therapist may work beyond the area that hurts when the assessment suggests another structure is contributing to the problem. The goal is not simply to make something sore for a day. It is to help restore more comfortable, useful movement.

For certain soft tissue and movement restrictions, Active Release Techniques®, or ART, may also be appropriate.
ART is a movement based soft tissue treatment used to address problems involving muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and certain nerve related restrictions. Woods Edge Therapy offers dedicated ART appointments for clients who need a more focused assessment and treatment approach.

Our therapists bring decades of hands-on experience and backgrounds in sports massage, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial work, stretching, Thai massage, and other targeted approaches.
But experience also teaches you that every body is different.
We listen, assess, and adapt the treatment to the person in front of us. Sometimes that means focused therapeutic work. Sometimes it means simply giving your body the really good massage it needs.
No cookie-cutter routines. Just thoughtful, experienced care.

Woods Edge Therapy is conveniently located in Bonita Springs and serves active clients throughout Bonita Springs, Estero, North Naples, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
Whether you are trying to get back on the golf course, pickleball court, running trail, bike, or simply moving comfortably again, treatment is tailored to what hurts, what is restricted, and what you need your body to do.
